Info from iPhone: WPA/WPA2 (TKIP) is not considered secure. Configure the router with the security type WPA2 (AES) or WPA3.

According to Xi, the part can handle WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK encryption (https://www.mi.com/global/product/mi-wifi-range-extender-pro/specs). But Xi or the manual is silent on whether the repeater can also use AES...  LG
