The unit does provide me with picture and sound, but with the picture mostly horizontal stripes (as when rewinding) and with the sound a very strong noise (even if the video recorder is not playing the S-VHS-C at the moment, but is set to pause or stop). When playing back on the TV, everything goes without a hitch. The latest drivers are installed, I have already tried to replace component and video with S-video without success. Screenshot because of the stripes: https://pasteboard.co/J0hhiIn.jpg A few seconds of video including noise and stripes: https://youtu.be/Fvab3_sd7Yo I have already tried the original software, Debut and VLC for recording, all to no avail... Could it be the USB? It's backwards compatible, but I only have USB 3 here... Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks a lot in advance.

Hello Marco,
I can't give you the exact solution, but I noticed that it doesn't work the same way everywhere.
On my PC with Windows 7, the part was recognised, but I couldn't install it. On my laptop with Windows 10, it worked straight away. In my opinion, however, the part is not worth its price. The quality is so poor that filming from the TV is even better :-( I will now have my videos scanned externally.
