Question about Verbatim Slimline
Verbatim Slimline (blue-ray): A CD is supplied with the product from which the Verbatim software can be installed via USB-C. The CD starts but hangs shortly afterwards during installation. Otherwise I have no choice but to return this one as well...

Isn't the software available online from the manufacturer? That would be another possibility.
I have phoned Verbatim Germany.Apparently there is a problem since the last Windows10 update and the CD does not start. Viewing and copying data from a CD is no problem. And burning non-blue ray discs is also easy with drag and drop.
Only if you want to burn a blue-ray CD you have to install Nero. To do this, open the "nero" folder on the installation CD (via the Wondows Explorer), start the exe file and the software is installed.
The CD worked perfectly for me. However, the burner also runs perfectly without the Verbatim software. I use a Yoga 530 with Win 10, a Lenovo P53 and other devices, so far without problems. I have uninstalled the Verbatim software because it is not really useful (Nero components, which are free of charge, are not satisfactory in terms of performance...).
