What is the maximum size of a monitor (diagonal in inches) and the maximum number of pixels that can be supported by the Surface Dock?

Helpful answer

The Surface Dock has no influence on the resolution of the monitor. What is displayed is what the graphics card of the Surface delivers. If the monitor has a higher resolution than the Surface (in my case the Surface delivers 2'736 x 1824), a black border is displayed. Surface Dock is like a pass-through device. What comes in is output.
