Question about Transcend JetDrive Lite 330

Who can find (my?) error: Two almost identical laptops and the SSD works on one, but not on the other. Any ideas why? I have a new JetDrive Lite 330 512GB. Two MBP, early 2015, 13 inch, etc, all identical, only visible difference for me: one MBP runs with MacOS Monterey 12.7.4, the other with Monterey 12.6.8 . On the "MBP 12.7.4" the SSD was ready-only, erase/format only gave error. Then tried on the "MBP 12.6.8" there also ready-only, but formatting and encryption and changing rights (for all read & write) was possible OK. Then tried the SSD on the "MBP 12.7.4", password request OK, permissions OK, BUT: can't use it, can't create a claim or anything. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem is and what could help? I wanted to use the SSD in both MBPs. As the SSD currently only works in one of the two MBPs, this would be a moot point. Does anyone have any ideas for a solution? Merci :-)

Helpful answer

Could a firmware update with JetDrive Toolbox help?
Do other SD cards work on the device?
Does it work without encryption?
Do you have a third device to check the behaviour?
Does the hard drive service on the MacBook where the JetDrive is not working say anything about the JetDrive?

Hi, I guess you already crosscheck cards with both Macs ???, check also security setting and access to disks.
Can be as well bad contact in that other Mac connector, pls check contact pins.

Kind Regards
Juha

Hi, did you check the disk file format when formatting (MAC-OS extended VS Exfat or MS-DOS for example)? The differences between OSes can be major on this type of detail, it may also be an idea to switch to an earlier or more recent version of the OS.
