Well, certain providers describe very precisely how such a device must be configured. It doesn't really matter which device it is - the parameters are the same. So just look for a German manual and off you go.

The SIP server is certainly included with Swisscom. Even foreign devices can be registered. I cannot judge other providers. 

An IP DECT is only Plug & Play if it comes from the same system (Swisscom BoX with DECT) or is equipped with analogue lines.

I have been using the device for a long time and it is by far one of the best devices.
