This is definitely part of the basic equipment.
Pre-filtered water, for example from Brita, is best. Since we started using it, descaling has only been necessary every six months or so, despite boiling the water daily in the appliance. Previously, we had to descale weekly without filtered water.

Excellent product, but catastrophic delivery by Planzer...
The product is excellent, but I don't know why Galaxus sent my parcel via Planzer. They didn't find my address, lied to me about having left me a note (QR letter) on the site, told me they hadn't found your address, and offered me another delivery slot, with free delivery two days later or 10 Frs the next morning... as I had plans following my order, the delay in delivery meant I had to pay the 10 Frs to receive my product in time before leaving home for 3 days' travel...
