The baby part must always be plugged in. The parent unit can be operated both via cable and only with a battery/rechargeable battery. In our case, the parent unit must always have batteries/rechargeable batteries in it, even if we only want to use it plugged in. Operation on the mains cable without batteries does not work, which makes no sense to me. Is this simply the case or is the device faulty? What is your experience?
We plug in the parent unit without batteries and it works perfectly. Looks like something is wrong with your device.
This makes sense because the battery can take over in the event of a power failure and warn the parents. Otherwise the parents would not notice a power failure, e.g. at night, and would no longer be able to hear the child. This is a safety function that should not be undermined!
