Product details
Agrobiodiversity refers to the biological diversity in agriculture. This study examined how the perception of agrobiodiversity by organic farmers affects the agrobiodiversity on their farms. The term agrobiodiversity is familiar to the majority of respondents through hearing or reading, and there is a high level of interest in this topic. In the personal perception of organic farmers regarding agrobiodiversity on their farms, the beauty of the landscape plays the most significant role. Cultural, traditional, and usage aspects are also important to the farmers. In addition to intrinsic factors such as knowledge, interest, and attitudes of the surveyed organic farmers towards this topic, extrinsic factors like costs, prices, and direct payments also impact the agrobiodiversity on organic farms. Improved collaboration between farmers and conservation authorities or scientists could lead to better acceptance of conservation concepts among farmers, thereby contributing to greater agrobiodiversity.
