The book "Development of Vaccines Against Necrotic Enteritis in Poultry" offers a comprehensive study of the development of vaccines against necrotic enteritis in poultry, a disease caused by Clostridium perfringens that poses a serious problem, particularly in fast-growing broiler chickens. Given the increasing concern over the use of antibiotics and their contribution to antibiotic resistance, it is crucial to explore alternative approaches to combat this disease. This work, which is part of a dissertation at Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University in Chennai, India, analyzes the effectiveness of six different vaccines and proposes an innovative combination of toxoid and bacterin vaccines along with probiotics. The results of this research could have significant implications for the prevention of an economically important disease in poultry farming.
