A future scenario: In the USA, all major cities are sealed off, and Ron enters New York without permission. The large cities in America have been evacuated and closed. Only during the two summer months are tourists allowed to enter New York and make their purchases from the businesspeople who have returned for this period, visiting bars and hotels. Ron, a high school graduate living in a futuristic, germ-free garden city, sets off on his own and manages to gain entry, despite not having reached the required age. What he experiences and endures changes his life. Selected for the German Youth Literature Prize.
