Author: Frank Schätzing
Frank Schätzing, born in 1957 in Cologne, published the historical novel "Death and Devil" in 1995, which initially became a regional bestseller and later achieved national success. After two more novels, a collection of short stories, and the thriller "Silent," "The Swarm" was released in spring 2004. Since its publication, it has reached a total circulation of 4.5 million copies and has been translated into 27 languages worldwide. This was followed by the bestsellers "Limit" (2009), "Breaking News" (2014), and "The Tyranny of the Butterfly" (2018). Schätzing has also made a name for himself as a non-fiction author. In 2006, "Messages from an Unknown Universe," his evolutionary history, was awarded the title of best science book by Bild der Wissenschaft. In 2021, he once again made it onto the non-fiction bestseller list with "What if We Just Save the World?" His new novel "Heroes" is set to be released in 2024, which will be a brilliant continuation of the worldwide bestseller "Death and Devil." Frank Schätzing lives and works in Cologne.
