Police Chief Inspector Ludwig Hiermeier is pulled from his budding family idyll by a bizarre murder, even though it is not within his jurisdiction. However, he is the first to have the right idea about what kind of perpetrator they might be dealing with, and as a result, he is brought into the task force. He plays a significant role in solving the case, which creates family problems for him and also puts him in the crosshairs of the killer. Together with his mentor Richard Hofreiter, Ludwig Hiermeier delves into the shocking world of child pornography and is forced to hunt a murderer who targets pedophiles. The investigators are confronted with the question of whether they truly want to stop the killer from his actions, as what they learn about the murder victims deeply horrifies them.
