Product details

This article presents an intelligent traffic management system that enables the smooth passage of emergency vehicles. Due to high vehicle collisions, many problems arise, especially at traffic light intersections, which are often congested with numerous vehicles. Therefore, we decided to equip each individual vehicle with a special Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag, strategically placed so that it cannot be removed or destroyed. This system will reduce the number of accidents that often occur at traffic light intersections, as other vehicles find it difficult to adjust to a specific route for emergency vehicles. If the RFID tag belongs to a stolen vehicle, a GSM modem will send a message to the police control center. Additionally, when an ambulance approaches the intersection, it communicates with the traffic controller at the intersection to turn on the green light. This module uses IoT modules on the ESP8266-01 and Arduino Uno ATmega 328 System-on-Chip for wireless communication between the ambulance and the traffic control device. The prototype was tested with various combinations of inputs in our wireless communication laboratory, and the experimental results were found as follows.
