Product details

A hug is good for everyone. Konrad the little toad lives alone. He loves talking to his reflection and is amazed at what an amusing conversation partner he is. One day he wakes up and calls out to himself, "I dreamed of the most beautiful hug." Immediately, he sets out on a quest. The giraffe Georgette has a neck that's too long, and he keeps sliding up and down during the hug with her. With the goldfish Geri, it's too wet for Konrad. He tries with other animals. But some hugs are too soft, too hard, too tight, or too wild. And some he can hardly escape from. By the end of the day, Konrad is discouraged. Finally, he places an ad in the newspaper calling for a spectacular hugging event in the city park. Would he find the perfect hug here? Konrad's attempts at hugging with various candidates are somehow contagious. Suddenly, everyone in the park starts hugging each other. Parents hug their children, friends hug their friends, and even strangers embrace one another. Just in time, Konrad realizes that the perfect hug also has something to do with letting go. A sensitive story by the internationally renowned musician Oren Lavi, brilliantly illustrated by the artist Anke Kuhl.
