The book "Prevalence of Intimate Partner Violence Against Nurses" provides a comprehensive examination of gender-based violence directed at female nurses by their intimate partners. The focus is on the region of Andalusia in Spain, where the study was conducted. The aim of the research was to estimate the prevalence of such violence, document the various forms of abuse, and analyze the profile of the affected nurses. The study is based on a survey of 622 nurses, capturing instances of psychological, physical, and sexual abuse. The tools used are validated questionnaires supplemented by demographic questions. This research is part of a larger project investigating gender-based violence against women in the nursing profession, supported by the Junta de Andalucía. The book offers valuable insights into an often-overlooked issue and contributes to raising awareness and educating about the challenges of combating violence against nurses.
