SumUp Solo
Have made really good experiences with the card reader. It looks really good on my counter.
It always automatically dials into the best available network.
Due to the compact and small size it fits in your pocket without any problems.
Pro
Ingenious device that is quick and easy to set up. Works flawlessly and accepts all major payment cards.
The only downside is that it doesn't come with a power adapter, only a cable. Furthermore, the charging cable is only USB-C to USB-C, so not every other adapter can be used or you can use a USB to USB-C cable.

Used it for the first time last weekend. It was used as a replacement because the SumUp Air I had been using was often very slow to connect to the app via my mobile.
No problem with this device, the connection always worked perfectly. It takes a little longer to start up, but there are no long waiting times when waking up from standby mode like before with the Air.
Payments were quick and easy. The battery lasted a good two days with a lot of standby mode and charging also went very quickly.
The biggest drawback from my point of view is that the products cannot be loaded from the app, but only a few fixed prices can be set. This would be another feature that would significantly increase user-friendliness. But all in all, it's a compact, good product, at least for trade fairs like the ones we use.

Battery only lasts 2-3 hours. Not recommended. Galaxus kindly replaced the device under warranty. The 2nd device battery also only lasts 2-3 hours.
Not recommended unless the device is always connected to the power supply.

The device has a nice design and is also easy to use. Unfortunately, using it once or twice a month, every time you pick it up to register a payment, it has to do some software update, unnecessarily wasting time. After 6 months, it stopped working completely, prompting a message to contact customer service to replace the device. Which I did. But Sumup's service is more than bad, I only got as far as: you will be contacted for return and replacement. After 7 days and despite resuming contact, still no news from this company, which is apparently only capable of collecting commissions. I then took advantage of the digitec guarantee, but here too, quite rightly, I was told that they would send it to a company for verification or to Sumup for replacement. Let's hope for the best, because if after 6 months a device stops working, I demand its replacement under warranty or a refund of the amount spent. Twint works better and has my preference.

We have 12 devices in use throughout Switzerland. The previous model was a reliable helper and we made 6-digit sales with it per year. Customer service is poor or non-existent, even for customers like us. The new device is a disaster.
