This academic book examines the impact of labor market policies on gender equality in the Piedmont region of Italy. It analyzes how specific social policies influence women's participation in the labor market, particularly in a context characteristic of Southern European welfare states. Through qualitative research, the role of subnational governments in promoting female labor market participation is highlighted. The study aims to understand and assess the challenges and progress regarding gender equality in the workplace and how political measures can contribute to improving the situation.
