The educational advantages that technological resources offer have led to their use in various classrooms within the current educational landscape. Virtual and augmented reality are two tools that, due to their innovative nature, are now also being utilized in higher education (high schools, universities, etc.). But is this characteristic sufficient for them to be considered useful for elementary education? The main objective of this study is to answer this question by analyzing a project conducted at CEIP Atalaya school in Cartagena, where a series of activities were carried out with second-grade students using these technologies. After reviewing the motivational component of this technology, impressions were gathered through a series of interviews, taking into account not only the opinions of the students but also those of the teachers and parents, in order to provide a comprehensive picture of the question posed.
