Logitech Spotlight Plus
Logitech Spotlight Plus
I can no longer use my Logitech Spotlight Plus on my MacBook Pro (macOS bigsur 11.0.1) in a meaningful way. I can no longer switch back and forth in a PowerPoint presentation. The settings (laser etc.) also no longer work. I have given the software all the permissions that are necessary - it has been of no use. Has anyone had the same problem and been able to solve it?
If the Presenter software does not work as it should, it may be because it does not have the rights to control the other programmes remotely.
Under "System settings", go to "Security & privacy", then "Privacy", then "Operating aids" and tick the box for the LogiPresentation software.
(If you cannot change anything because everything is greyed out, click on the lock symbol 🔒 and identify as administrator).
I hope this helps all those who have problems with the software on macOS.
(No I also don't understand why Logitech doesn't complain in their software if it doesn't have the remote control rights (anymore)).
System settings --> Security and privacy ---> Now click on the lock at the bottom left and open it --> Then click through all the categories on the left and tick "LogiPresentation" in the right-hand window (about three ticks must be ticked). --> Finally, click on the lock again and close it.
The latest software for MacOS BigSur must be installed. It works for me:
