Are the strips compatible with Apple HomeKit? On the website https://www.yeelight.com/en_US/product/pitaya-plus it says they are compatible. But I am not sure if they are the same.

they are not the same...

The box did not say anything about Apple Homekit support, but as far as I know, you can connect it to Homekit after a firmware update (very simple in the app).
