Do I absolutely have to buy a textile curtain with the stable eyelets to go with this rod system with the gliders? Or can I also use a plastic curtain with punched / reinforced eyelets?
As long as the shower curtain has holes for the glides, it should not matter whether they are reinforced or what material the shower curtain is made of. Sturdy eyelets prevent the eyelets from slipping out of the glides. However, if you are not tugging at the shower curtain, the punched/reinforced eyelets should also hold.
We have tried both models, i.e. with stable eyelets and punched eyelets. I can recommend that you buy a curtain with sturdy eyelets. It's worth it and lasts much longer, or you can open and close the curtain a little more briskly without any problems.
