Of course, values such as brewing temperature or water quantity can be precisely adjusted as required. However, the machine is not a bargain.
The Gastroback delivers very good results in the basic disciplines of espresso preparation and milk frothing. Cleaning is also relatively easy. In terms of features, however, the testers missed a temperature display and a water filter. In addition, the cup warmer does not really get warm enough.
The Design Espresso Advanced Duo comes well packaged with a number of accessories. In addition to the necessary bean container, there is a stainless steel milk jug, two sieve inserts and a tamper in the box. Overall, the machine makes a very high-quality impression. The controls are well labelled and the six illuminated buttons are very smooth.
