Product details
In the Kai Shun Minamo series, television chef Tim Mälzer has effectively combined Japanese and European blade craftsmanship. The typical Japanese Santoku knife and the classic European chef's knife have been created here as a new entity: the Tim Mälzer Minamo Santoku by Kai. This combination has also resulted in a blade shape that speaks a clear, distinct language. The blade of the Minamo Santoku by Kai is made from a specially developed stainless Damascus steel with 32 layers, with the inner layer, the core, made of V-Gold-10 steel. This steel is extremely corrosion-resistant, very hard (60 ±1 HRC), and maintains its sharpness with proper care. It has been specifically designed by Tim Mälzer and features a fine Damascus pattern with a lively appearance, making each Kai Santoku Minamo feel unique. The elegantly designed handle of the Santoku knife is made from black Pakkawood, oval and symmetrical, suitable for both left- and right-handed users. The blade and handle of the knife form a harmonious unit that excellently combines Eastern character with European style, expressing it artfully.
