Zum Aufheizen braucht der ESAM 5500 von De`Longhi im Vergleich zu seinen Konkurrenten relativ lange und ist etwas laut während er die Kaffeebohnen mahlt. Dafür hat er ein Reinigungsprogramm für das Milchsystem und als einziger Kandidat eine Vorwärmfläche.
