Hello, this is not directly possible with the De'Longhi Dedica KG521.M. The machine comes with an adapter. However, an adapter is supplied that can be inserted below the opening. The portafilter can then be inserted into this adapter and filled with ground coffee. This can be seen very clearly in the pictures.
