The EcoFlow WAVE 2 appliance can be operated without an exhaust air hose, but with certain restrictions. In cooling mode, no ventilation is required if the humidity is below 70%. However, ventilation is necessary in heating mode. However, exhaust air ducts are included in the scope of delivery, which can be used for efficient and directed cooling or heating.

Yes, you can either 1) have the appliance outside and lead the cold hose into the tent 2) Have the device in the tent and waste heat + waste heat air supply hose from/to the outside or 3) Have the appliance in the awning, lead the cold air into the inner tent and the waste heat outside. This is probably the optimum solution. However, you will need an additional air hose with a smaller diameter for this.
Hoi Yes, I also use it in the T6.1 CaliBeach... At the campsite, I have the WAVE fixed on the driver's seat, which is turned towards the interior. Plus the SpaceCamper blackout complete set. They have two walls. So I can lead the waste water and exhaust air hose out through the open window. This keeps the warm air outside and the inside nice and cool. Works great. At night on the lowest setting. And even at 35°C with sunlight, you can cool the bus down. In any case, it is important to always have the waste water hose connected and to activate this in the software. And also proper insulating mats on the rear windows. The insulation at the front works perfectly with SpaceCamper.

Additional battery required. It's possible to combine the whole thing with solar panels on the roof, but you need a good surface area to compensate for the use of the battery. As the battery dedicated to the wave 2.0 doesn't seem to have panel 'management', I'd go for an ecoflow battery that could be used for something else. As far as the hoses are concerned, you need 2 connected to the outside. On some vehicles, there's a valve at the back that opens onto the rear bumper. I saw an installer at the camping show in Bern who was evacuating the hot air through this (Clim mode). As far as the air intake is concerned, I wouldn't recommend coupling it to the vehicle ventilation and creating a separate air intake.
