Bosch Home & Garden UniversalVac 18
As is so often the case with Bosch, I have mixed feelings about the Universalvac 18: the product is almost perfect, but then again it has various small flaws in thinking. I like that it combines the advantages of a cordless hand hoover with those of a conventional hoover in that there are two compactly stowable extension tubes. Equally positive is that the battery is replaceable and can be used for other appliances. The battery is also recharged relatively quickly. The device lies well in the hand and is relatively light. Thanks to its compact design, it takes up little space for storage.
But that brings us to the disadvantages: The device can be set up well with the battery, but not without it. But you can only lay it down to a certain extent, because the bottom of the unit is not completely flat. The crevice nozzle should have an upholstery attachment. The floor nozzle is a joke made of plastic - absolutely unsuitable for hard floors.
In general, there was no skimping on plastic. In most other handheld hoovers, even cheaper ones, the sieve is made of stainless steel and the Hepa filter is washable. Due to its design, the filter clogs relatively quickly. This means that the suction power is not beyond reproach. When the battery is empty, the device simply switches off without warning - but is obviously still switched on, because when you change the battery, it simply continues to run before you press the switch-on button. So in principle, you have to switch the unit off after it has switched itself off. And why is there only one suction level? For many more delicate places, it would be good to reduce the suction power and have a longer runtime.
Despite these criticisms, this appliance comes closest to our requirement of having a universal handheld appliance in addition to the robot vacuum, which can also be used to vacuum higher corners as well as furniture, cupboards and appliances.
Contra
The seal on the box was open and there was dirt on the accessories.

Leaves are already an insurmountable particle for the vacuum cleaner. The leaves clog the suction pipe. Fine material works well until the filter is clogged, which can happen very quickly depending on the material.
Sawdust probably works best. It is hardly suitable for anything else.
