Rösle Salad spinner with glass lid
Rösle Salad spinner with glass lid
The bowl made of chrome steel with the tightly closing lid made of tempered glass edged with rubber looks very high quality. Unfortunately, the swing mechanism including knob is made of rather cheap-looking plastic. Makes me wonder if that lasts longer than other products. I'm afraid not. At least you could buy the lid separately (but not at Galaxus-Digitec). It would be even nicer if you could replace the plastic parts individually or as a kit.
For ergonomic reasons, I would prefer a cord system instead of a twist system. Pulling is easier than turning. Then add a rubber layer to the bottom of the bowl so it doesn't slip and the thing would be perfect.
There is still something to do for the engineers / designers.
Update after two months of use:
I have reduced the rating from four to two stars. The amount of force required is significantly greater than with a pull system. But the result is clearly worse. The lid sometimes falls apart during the swing and must be screwed together again. The bottom of the bowl is now scratched by the plastic disc that stabilizes the sieve. So the price-performance ratio is no longer right.

Does its job, super closable and besides, the silver bowl is also so elegant enough to use for everyday life.
Unfortunately, the lid is contrary to the description (both from galaxus and from rösle) not glass but plastic. Namely the complete lid. Probably acrylic glass is meant. Since the designation "glass lid" but gave the decision to buy, the product has disappointed me.
Who does not mind the plastic lid - and the incorrect description - but already gets a relatively well-made product.

unfortunately no glass lid dries better in the dishwasher
To make it run well, it should not be overloaded. It is still a good buy. Too bad you can't find a model totally without plastic.
A great replacement for plastic spin-dryers, which become difficult to keep clean over time. Solidly built, the stainless steel bowl can also be used at the table.
