Tefal Freemove Air FV6520
2400 W, 115 g/min
Received a defective product (supposedly as good as new and tested). Defective because: The steam worked at the beginning, but after a few seconds it didn't work again. But what struck me: anyway, you have to put it on the station all the time so it can recharge, and then you have to move it around a bit until the contacts are made properly and the iron sits on it correctly. Conclusion: Not recommendable, no real gain in ironing. The small freedom of ironing without a cable is bought dearly by constant recharging on the station and by weakening steam when ironing for longer periods without recharging (20 seconds ...).

To be honest, I'm not sure if my appliance is faulty. I had a Freemove from Tefal for 8 years now. It was great, got hot, had a lot of steam and charged faster on the station. But the new one here doesn't get hot enough. You have to iron polyester on wool and even then it doesn't get smooth. Cotton at linen temperature and even that doesn't get as hot as before. Hardly any steam comes out. You have to load much more often than before and it takes longer. The appliance should actually have improved...

The iron cools down extremely quickly so that only very small areas can be steam ironed at high heat before the appliance has to be heated up again.
I wanted to iron the last creases out of tablecloths when they were lying on the table. For me, the appliance is not suitable for this application.
