Great product but not worth the upgrade
Ultimately, I'm happy I purchased this item. I use it nearly every day. It's easy to use, fast and easy to clean.
Having said that, I had a more "standard version" without all of the bells and whistles before and it worked just as well at about 1/2 the cost.
Regarding the size, it's bigger than you need for preparing 1-2 items at one time but not quite big enough to prepare 4. I would have preferred that it were smaller or larger.Pro

Great appliance for 1-2 person household
Overall, I am really satisfied with the device, some negative points are present but you can overlook them or they are acceptable. I deliberately chose the model with the automatic modes because it simplifies the handling a lot. Switch on the appliance, select the mode, wait approx. 7 minutes for the appliance to heat up and then put the food in and wait for the signal tone. There is a sound for each cooking level (e.g. for rare, medium or well-done) so you can take the meat out at the desired cooking level and it really corresponds to the selected cooking level. I can never get such a perfectly cooked piece of meat in a pan. So it's a really cool appliance, and I can only recommend it.

Super addition to the kitchen
The Tefal Optigrill has been in use for just under two weeks. We have tested it extensively.
Chicken cutlets were just right.
Bacon we had to take out a little early. Probably too thin slices.
We used the Optigrill a lot for sandwiches with toasts. Ingenious.
As something cumbersome I find the reloading function. Why must the device again 3 min preheat if I have already grilled the same and thus would still be hot. Well.
All in all, we would not give this away again.Pro

Import product without German as system language
Definitely should have been prominently noted....

Good device,difficulties can be overcome...
Particularly soft food to be cooked is compressed too much by the weight of the lid. Examples: Minced meat (boulettes, burgers) but also fillet of beef, horse, foal or veal, if only 1 - 2 medallions are inserted. Remedy: Place a spoon of suitable size between the grill plates or make an adjustable spacer. I use a 10 cm high, wooden furniture foot from IKEA, which I place between the handle and the grease drip tray. The fastening screw serves me for the suitable height adjustment. Works perfectly. Have fun!
