Which waffle/sandwich maker?! đđ»
I compared many sandwich/waffle makers and decided in favour of a Tefal product (SW852D).
It's confusing because there are different Tefal waffle/sandwich makers.
Galaxus offers 4 different appliances. According to a call to Tefal, it is as follows:
1) SW852D Snack Collection is newer than the SW341B Snack Time. So order Snack Collection (is newer and also a 'little' lighter).
SW852D comes with 2 plates: waffle and 3-corner sandwich.
2) SW854D has 4 plates (as the number suggests) and is therefore slightly more expensive.
3.) SW857D comes with 2 other plates: waffle and panini.
Depending on whether you prefer 3-corner sandwiches or panini sandwiches, you can order either SW852D or SW857D.
We ordered the SW852D and are happy. The 3-corner toast plates are larger than the normal toast size and therefore no cheese runs out (probably not even with XL toast?!).
The waffles were very crispy and delicious.
Cleaning: rinse a little with water and put in the dishwasher. I am totally surprised how easily the dirt/cheese comes off with water and, above all, the cheese does not run into the grooves (the edge of the plate is slightly raised).
Another positive aspect is that the toaster adapts when the sandwich is filled more, as it is flexible towards the top.

I am very satisfied with the device! Waffles and sandwiches succeed perfectly! As with all these devices must pay attention to the especially when making sandwiches something that not so much runs out! But basically mega easy to clean. Still have the dumpling and donut plates and already made donuts! Also worked great! Only small criticism: there could be more recipes in the attached booklets.Â

Device is ok. Super is that it is only 1 device. But Temp.regulation is missing.

The photos on the website give the impression that there are several interchangeable plates (croque-monsieur, panini) when in fact there are only plates for making waffles and triangles.
However, these can be ordered as extras.Pro

Great idea, lousy implementation
I loved the idea of the modular toaster and immediately bought many attachments for it. But if you want to make a nice cheese toast, you almost can't clean the appliance. Unfortunately, a sign that the developers of the product have not tested this once themselves.... As is so often the case with Tefal. Â
