WMF Vitalis thermometer is a spare part for the rectangular steamer glass lid, made of polished Cromargan stainless steel. It should not be used in the oven. The removable thermometer allows for optimal cooking control up to 100°C, enabling you to check the temperature from the outside without lifting the lid. This thermometer is a replacement for all WMF Vitalis steam cookers in rectangular designs.

Cooking with the WMF Vitalis is gentle for vegetables, fish, and meat. The steamer operates as a closed system for the cooker, where liquid is brought to a boil in the roaster. The ingredients on the cooking tray cook in the rising steam without coming into contact with water. The integrated thermometer in the glass lid allows for temperature checks from the outside, preventing unnecessary energy loss during the cooking process.

Designer Peter Ramminger drew inspiration from oven racks for the WMF Vitalis, aiming to enhance the functionality of the roasting tin. TV chef Johann Lafer contributed the innovative idea of integrating a thermometer into the glass lid. The WMF Vitalis family includes a roaster and an aroma steamer in various versions. The stainless steel roaster with a glass lid is suitable for sautéing and braising on the cooker, as well as for casseroles in the oven. The aroma steam cooker, made of easy-care Cromargan, serves as a small cooking kitchen for the cooker. While the liquid boils in the roaster below, the ingredients cook in the rising steam above.

For single households, the WMF Vitalis Compact offers a capacity of 3.5 liters, ideal for small quantities. All WMF Vitalis products feature cold handles and a TransTherm all-stove base, and they are dishwasher safe.
