Unold Backmeister Edel
According to the manufacturer, this bread maker is suitable for breads from 750 g to 1Kg. However, most ready-mixes have a weight of 500 g. Is it still possible with this machine?
Bread mixtures of 500 g are usually used to bake breads weighing approx. 1 kg (the weight refers to the "end result"). About 400 ml of water is also added. The 1 kg bread recipes in the manual also usually assume 500 g flour and around 300-400 ml water.
There is no programme for 500 g breads in this machine. However, the only differences between 750g and 1000g are the different kneading and baking times.
You can therefore also bake 500 g breads by selecting the 750 g profile and, if necessary, setting the baking level to "light".
Hello, I mostly use 750g baking mixes. The appliance can handle this. However, in the rising phase, the dough usually reaches the ceiling and it is advisable to open it briefly before baking and let the dough collapse a little. If you don't do this, the bread will still bake perfectly, you just have a little more cleaning to do afterwards ;-)
