Russell Hobbs Cook at Home
For me, the water overflows every time and splashes everything around. I have also tried it with small amounts of rice and it overflows every time. Is this a production fault? Because I also hear a constant clicking sound when I switch it on. This has never happened with my other rice cookers.
The water overflows in my kitchen every time. It's a disaster in the kitchen. Very disappointed.
So I've had this rice cooker for years and I've tried everything. It overcooks every time and sprays everything. I guess so.
There'll be a new one for us soon!
I have only ever cooked basmati rice in it and the water has never overflowed.
Two points to note:
- The rice must already be in the container when water is added to the appropriate level.
- The rice must be washed beforehand so that some of the starch is washed out.
This has worked for me so far for 2-4 portions.
It also makes a mess (primarily basmati). Long-grain rice is easier to handle. That's probably normal. I'm not entirely happy about this either. At least the result is good so far. But I have only used it 3 times.
