De'Longhi Dedica
De'Longhi Dedica
I finally received this coffee machine and was looking forward to testing it. Unfortunately, it has a German mains plug that doesn't fit the Swiss sockets. Can't be, can it? What now?
Every seller in Switzerland is obliged by law to supply a suitable cable or an adapter that can be permanently mounted. Galaxus must send you an adapter when you contact customer service.
The exact same thing happened to me, I unpacked the machine today. I'm curious to see how Digitec reacts, but in any case it's disappointing and tedious and annoying.
Unfortunately, it often happens that a German cable or mains plug is supplied. Here you are at the community where users answer other users. Please contact the customer service directly, they can supply you with a CH cable or adapter:

- If you cut the cable and fit a CH plug yourself, the warranty will be invalidated. 🤷🏼♂️
- With the adapter D ( --> CH), a CH triple socket becomes a single socket: The problem is not the adapter, but the right-angled design of the plug.
I bought the De'longhi in combination with the Graef CM 800. At first I wanted to buy the products from Amazon. But I deliberately decided against buying the appliances with Schuko plugs because of the space available with the 3-way socket. This made the price 20% more expensive.
I am very disappointed that you can get cheap imported electrical appliances at expensive prices from a Swiss company.
I confirm that the CH plug was delivered to me as expected, order date: 20.01.2022. So far everything is fine and I don't have to install any ugly adapters in my kitchen.
The same thing happened to me yesterday. No adapter with the order, although it says there should be one. I agree with Zumir, it's annoying.
Is the mains cable permanently mounted or can it be replaced?
I don't want to use the thing with a Schuko adapter...
You know that there are plugs to screw for 1.45CHF? That's maybe a minute's effort and that's it. So if you don't want a Schuko adapter, just consider something like this. This eternal whining about the plugs is almost unbearable. If you buy a portafilter for 164 CHF, don't be surprised if you get a German product.
