Product details
The low-cut version of the Makra Pro GTX - the Makra Pro Low GTX - is an approach shoe designed for demanding terrain. But what actually makes a good approach shoe? Versatility is key. The Makra Pro Low GTX performs well on a variety of surfaces: from paved paths to forests and meadows, all the way to rocky fields. Comfort, stability, and flexibility play important roles here. Its lightweight yet particularly stable midsole is made of PU and EVA: the oversized PU heel provides perfect cushioning, while a reinforcing PU foam wedge in the heel area supports an ideal rolling motion. EVA in the forefoot area ensures precision during the push-off - and the exclusive Vibram Makra outsole offers excellent grip. A characteristic of the Makra family is the optimized ghillie lacing that extends to the toe area, with the laces threaded through textile loops. This design provides good support for the foot even in the front area and in a mid-cut model, ensuring stability in the shoe. Thanks to the waterproof GORE-TEX membrane, feet stay dry even in unpredictable weather. The Perwanger leather is robust, breathable, and durable. A material combination that impresses across the board.

A lightweight hiking boot for many uses and situations. Rather large and heavy for carrying in a rucksack (climbing).
