Test Report

Ten Approach models tested

What do you want? A shoe for carrying in your rucksack on multi-pitch climbing tours or a solid, comfortable hiking shoe. Or the golden mean? As the test shoes have very different characters, we have formed two categories and identified two outsiders (specialists). The hiking boots are very suitable for use when hiking and - to a limited extent - on via ferratas. Stable, with a high level of comfort, but quite heavy. If you are looking for shoes with a more technical design and want to be lighter when travelling, take a look at the all-rounders. Our test winner is the Tecnica Sulfur GTX, which combines many important attributes. The Aku Rock DFS GTX is also very versatile and has very variable lacing - our all-round tip. For weight fanatics, the La Sportiva TX2 Evo is an interesting alternative - our weight tip.
