They are my first binoculars with an image stabiliser and I am very happy with them. Why? Well, even if they're not Swarovski or anything else for over CHF 2000, it's suddenly fun to explore the surroundings with them. Suddenly you don't always have to look for a post, a wall or whatever to stabilise yourself on. I have no idea how one of the really expensive ones performs, but I know that this thing increases the fun factor of observing noticeably. Especially moving "targets" are much easier to track and you have the necessary time and "peace" to clearly identify them. Is that a treecreeper or a woodcreeper? A willow warbler or a chiffchaff? A goshawk or a sparrowhawk? Skoda Fabia or Suzuki Swift?
In any case, I don't regret the purchase.

I bought these binoculars to observe the moon and the night sky; they are very well suited, and the quality of the stabilisation is spectacular.

Despite the fact that my previous Canon IS mark I cameras became totally unusable because the rubber coating literally melted (!!!), despite being stored in the correct way, I bought the mark IIs because of their optical quality and the fair price. It remains to be seen whether the rubber coating will suffer the same fate (?).
It's worth pointing out that the brain-dead moron who designed the eyelets for the straps should be out of a job! Such a stupid design is hardly imaginable.

The stabilisation is a big plus. It works surprisingly well: the 10X magnification is really usable without support
