Helly Hansen Kid Safe+

We bought the Helly Hansen Kid Safe+ for our 4-year-old son, who can't swim yet, to take him stand up paddling safely. Unfortunately, the waistcoat completely failed to fulfil its purpose. When our son jumped into the water, the waistcoat only held his head just above the surface of the water and he even had to swallow water - and this in absolutely calm conditions, without any swell. The waistcoat is also bulky and uncomfortable, which makes it even less practical.
To make matters worse, we can't even return the waistcoat as we had to open the packaging to test it. This product is a complete disappointment from start to finish and is a potential hazard. I definitely expected more from a brand like Helly Hansen. Hands off!
Has (unlike conventional lifejacket) all the buoyancy bodies on the front, so that the child is automatically turned on his back and so the face is out of the water. Conversely, this means that the front of the vest is quite bulky and the vest is less suitable if you want to jump into the water for a short time. Or just a real life jacket for boating etc.

The vest fit our 18 kilo 4 year old quite well, he thought it was cool.
It was easy to put on and he found it comfortable - except that it pressed a little too hard on the neck. With the loosening of the leg straps, this could be somewhat remedied.
I can recommend the vest and would buy it again.
