Scarpa's Rapid Mid GTX (pair in size 42.5) weighs 720 grams - no other shoe in the field that reaches over the ankle is this light. The only thinly padded, yet comfortable upper offers hardly any ankle support, but plenty of freedom of movement. In combination with the low stance and the precise, grippy Vibram Megagrip sole, this enables a fast pace even on tricky trails...
