Usage

Stübben's new 2 in 1 bit offers two levels of effectiveness through simple adjustment: 1. When the squarer side of the bit is fastened towards the horse's tongue, the bit pressure is more localized. 2. When the rounder side of the bit is fastened towards the horse's tongue, a gentler effect is achieved. If you see a mark on the outer left side of the bit when mounting, the more effective side is fastened. If there is no mark visible, the softer side is fastened. Occasionally changing the fastening helps prevent habituation and dullness of the horse's mouth.

The advantages of the double-jointed snaffle include no unpleasant palate pressure, even and mouth-friendly distribution of rein pressure on the tongue and bars, as well as better acceptance. With the 2 in 1 bit, you avoid the nutcracker effect, which can facilitate communication between you and your horse.

Additionally, the rings offer the following benefits: The movable rings of the water snaffle automatically position the bit correctly in the horse's mouth when the reins are taken up. The free-running rings allow your horse to slightly adjust the position of the bit in its mouth, which can stimulate chewing activity and lead to better acceptance. For young horses, as well as inexperienced riders, the water snaffle should always be the first choice.
