Self-adhesive copper tape / snail tape - 10 mm width, roll of 20 m. The copper is in contact with the snail's body creates a weak electrical charge that is dismissive of the snail. Clean the surface first so the tape can stick with for several seasons. Use thumbtacks on the surface is not clean enough or smooth.
