KNIPEX StepCut XL features a power joint, long legs, and optimized cutting edges, making cutting up to 60% easier than with compact cable shears. It has an enormous capacity, capable of cutting solid copper or aluminum cables up to 35 mm², stranded cables up to 70 mm², and flexible cables up to 120 mm². The tool includes two cutting areas: the stepped main cutting edge keeps smaller and larger cables close to the joint during cutting, while the front cutting edge is designed for gradually cutting very large cables. It allows for comfortable one-handed and two-handed operation, even with large cable diameters, thanks to its minimized leg width. The screwed power joint provides high transmission, smooth running, and adjustability. Its slim head enhances accessibility, and it includes clamping protection for user safety. Please note that it is not suitable for steel-reinforced cables, such as ACSR. The cutting edges are additionally laser-hardened, with a cutting edge hardness of approximately 56 HRC.
