Inside the handle, the EXPLORE has some interesting and useful extras: tick remover, 110db signal whistle, hook blade with eyelet for cord. Otherwise, the model offers the usual Opinel features - a blade made of stainless Sandvik 12C27 steel and the tried-and-tested Virobloc safety ring, which prevents the blade from opening and closing unintentionally. Due to the tools integrated in the handle, the blade is slightly shorter than the regular No 12 model, measuring 10 cm in length.
