Calico Nordic is a puzzling tile game centered around blankets and cats. In Calico, players compete to sew the coziest blanket by collecting and placing pieces of various colors and patterns. Each blanket has a specific pattern that must be followed, and players also aim to create color and pattern combinations that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also attract the fluffiest cats.

The rules of the game are easy to learn. Choose a patch tile piece from your hand and sew it onto your blanket, then draw a patch from the three available into your hand. You can sew a button onto your blanket when you form a color group. If you create a pattern combination that attracts one of the cats, it will come and curl up on your blanket. At the end of the game, points are counted based on the buttons and cats you have, as well as how well you completed the pattern of your unique blanket.
