With a capacity of 2050 mAh, the EV3 lithium-ion battery is optimally designed to work with the intelligent EV3 brick. The battery offers a longer runtime than AA batteries can provide and can be recharged without needing to disassemble the built model. It is included in the EV3 Education Set. The charging time is approximately three to four hours. The battery requires the separately available charger 8887, which is also used for the NXT battery.
