Rome, in the year 0. Players take on the roles of wealthy patricians. Each one tries to develop a profitable neighborhood to earn as many victory points as possible during the scoring phases. They collect tiles in a clever and innovative way, piece by piece, creating an increasingly extensive and well-functioning neighborhood.

The game rules are available in German, English, French, Dutch, Italian, and Spanish. A Portuguese version of the rules is available online as a PDF download. Each player receives 4 frames and a board from which they assemble a random neighborhood. Through a clever and innovative movement mechanism on the central game board, they collect the available tiles over a total of four rounds and incorporate them into their neighborhood as cleverly as possible.

At the end of each of the four rounds, each player must fulfill a combination of two of the numerous available scoring cards. Depending on the difficulty level, there are different amounts of victory points for this. The game ends after the fourth scoring. The player with the most victory points at that point is the winner.
