The abdominal and back muscle belt works using electrical muscle stimulation (EMS). The muscle stimulator produces gentle electrical impulses that are transferred to your muscles via your skin.
The abdominal and back muscle belt causes the muscle fibres to contract and relax in a way that mimics the natural muscle activation through nerve impulses. However, the stimulation produced when using the belt is less specific than with active abdominal and back muscle training and the use of the abdominal and back muscle belt can therefore not replace actual active participation in sport.
