What is blepharitis?
Blepharitis is the medical term for eyelid inflammation, which is a collective term for all forms of eyelid inflammation.
Symptoms:
Blepharitis is often noticeable through burning, itching, red eyes, and sticky, swollen, and red eyelid margins.
What can help?
Daily eyelid cleaning is an important therapeutic measure and should be applied to all forms of blepharitis. Patience and regular (daily) eyelid care are essential. Improvement often becomes noticeable only after 3 to 4 weeks. Even after the symptoms subside, eyelid care should continue regularly, as these are usually recurring or chronic issues.
Step 1: Warm the eyelids to liquefy the thickened secretions in the meibomian glands.
Step 2: Gentle eyelid massage to express the liquefied secretions.
Step 3: Eyelid cleaning to remove the dissolved secretions, deposits, and germs.
